Why Discord timestamps?

Discord turns a code like <t:1790366400:F> into a date and time in each reader's own time zone. Paste the text above into your announcements channel and viewers in London, Tokyo and Los Angeles all see the right local time — no more “what time is that for me?”. The codes point to the next occurrence of each stream, so post a fresh copy each week.

Daylight saving time

Times are converted with your browser's time-zone database, so daylight saving changes (for example the US switch in March and November, or Europe's in March and October) are handled. If your “also show” time zone changes clocks on a different date from yours, the second time on the image is correct for the coming week.

Where to use the image

Twitch also has a built-in schedule on your channel (Creator Dashboard → Settings → Stream → Schedule). Keeping both in sync helps viewers find you.
