Stream Countdown Timer for OBS

How to add it to OBS

1. In OBS, click + under Sources → Browser, and give it a name.
2. Paste the URL into the URL field. Set Width 1920 and Height 1080.
3. Leave Custom CSS as it is (the background is already transparent) and click OK.
4. If it stays blank, right-click the source → Refresh. See the browser source test for more fixes.

Minutes or clock time?

Minutes starts counting the moment OBS loads the source — usually when you switch to the scene for the first time. If you refresh the source, it starts again from the full time.

Clock time (for example 20:00) counts down to that time on your computer's clock, so refreshing the source or restarting OBS does not reset it. If the time has already passed today, it counts to that time tomorrow.

When the timer reaches zero it shows the “When finished” text. Leave it empty to show 00:00.

Tip: in OBS, tick “Refresh browser when scene becomes active” on the source if you want a minutes timer to restart every time you show the scene.

Why did my timer reset?

In minutes mode the countdown starts when the source loads, so a refresh restarts it. Use clock-time mode if you want it to survive refreshes.

Yes. Add a Browser Source (sometimes called a web page source) and paste the URL.
